Due to a knackered hip, I'm looking at getting one of these.

I'm trying to get my head around what size I need for my kit;
2 x Canon 1dmkIV, Canon 7d, 400mmL f2.8 (old bloody heavy model), 70-200L f2.8, 17-40L f4, 2 x flashes.

I'm not going to be able to carry a rucksac for a while, so it'll all have to fit into the peli (or similar).

I know a number of people on here have a similar kit list, any recommendations??

Cheers

I got two Pelis of different sizes and love'm!
A bad knee is thankful for their set of wheels and their indestructible
construction. I got them in beige as black is getting too hot in the
summer sun.

My only problem was going out of the city as, in the wild, their small
wheels are no use. So my sons and I designed a detachable set of
wheels for each of them — ∅ 20 cm minimum.

When shooting at the marsh, they float safely, close to the tripod if
necessary (with all the gear inside) but should be kept closed at all
time of course.

Hi mate hope you are well
I have about the same kit and I use the 1560 model what I would say is that the wheels are not so good on soft ground and I would go for dividers
All in all I find it just the job for my needs

Simmilar here and 1560 is pretty standard for sports photographers..

wheels are solid and should last years and years.. Bit I reccomend replacing wheels with skate wheels.. ten times better :)

Cheers Gents,

I CAN afford the change of wheels lol.

Looks like a 1560!!

Decathlon for the skate wheels like Tony said. A lot softer running as well

Any chance of a link to which ones would suit the Peli 1560, i have the 1510 which could do with stronger wheels , are they tricky to replace?

Thanks in advance

I think the same wheels fit both. I'll find the link to the ones I've got. And not tricky at all. I think if you search in here, there was a thread about it. I'll see if I can find it

I use a 1560 too, but with the dividers rather than pick and pluck foam as it gives me options to rearrange to carry different things.

Thanks Kelly, have to agree with the dividers , its a must for peli cases. Also if you have a few bob to spare , get a lid organiser too, very helpful for the little bits and bobs

Gary, I've bought a used 1560, but if you ever sell them let me know. Got a few mates who are into photography at work.

Especially as I bought a 1510 by mistake. I've awarded myself w@nker of the week award already.
Luckily my stuff just about fits. Doh.

Console yourself that you can take it as hand luggage in a plane, should you desire.

Andrew, that's EXACTLY why I mistakenly bought it........maybe
