Peak District Recomendations

Hi

I am looking at booking a long weekend away in september in the Peak District in an attempt to capture some good images. Does anyone have any recommendations on places that are either worth visiting or hotels that are worth staying at?

Edale and Mam Tor would give you some very good lanscape shot. Hope is well situated and will have a couple of pubs that should do B&B. Heathersage is very nice with Stanage Edge just up the road which is a big cliff that is freaquented by rock climbers

Hope Valley in the south is beautiful, and if you have a tomtom from there program it to go somewhere north like Barnsley it will take you through some stunning scenery to get you there, and if you stop off and walk up the hills there are plenty of birds if you are not like me and can get close enough to them :lol: and of course the sheep, cattle and other animals

Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are all in the area if you like houses.
 
i tend to frequent these places a lot living in sheffield and being a biker (tend not too have that many photos im too busy zooming past) but dont forget castleton the under ground caves at speedwell cavern and the devils arse are great
