Peak District locations

So I want to get out and take some landscape photos (I'm still no good), I live in Birmingham so was thinking south Peak District would be ideal, I want to ride up on my motorbike and have a few hours taking pics so guessed south would be easier if there are any good locations , I've never been to the Peak District before so I'm seeking advice from people that here been to south Peak District and could share some good locations for photos.

Try the search button, lots of stuff on the Peaks and many other locations

There's also a couple of books you could also check on Amazon ect. E.Bowness and ?. Grant

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately it won't be either as to lazy to get up that early and I'll need to get back late afternoon, but will only be going when there's decent light, I'm heading to Amazon now to look at the books, once again thnx for the replies.

To be honest I'll probably be terrible with them!! Although I need to learn, I do most mapping on google!!

When are you thinking, perhaps a meet up with others of here? Mam Tor is an easy walk, Padley Gorge has easy access with nice waterfalls.

I'd love a meet up!!, I'm fairly new and can't take a decent photo!, so to meet up with some experienced photographers would be great, haven't really got a time as such but weekends it would have to be because of work.

Go to the meet up section at get a thread started. I could proabaly make this coming weekend

Im thinking of going to Padley Gorge on Sunday. Weather looks set fair, unlike Saturday!
Bacon butties in Grindleford Station caff. Yummy.

Was there last weekend, had a nice walk up to Higger Tor from the Fox House pub outside Hathersage. Still lovely views, just got to hope that the light/weather is favourable.
