Peak Design Carbon Fibre Travel Tripod

Well, I've been mulling it over for a while but I've just pulled the trigger on the Peak Design carbon fibre travel tripod.

I was doing some photography today and my Manfrotto just seems to get heavier!!
Hopefully, it will be worth the premium price tag.

Yeah I was going back and forth between Gitzo and this one.
In the end, the portability and the fact this comes with the ball head was the deciding factor.

I think a few will be interested to see how you get on as there isn’t much info out there about these tripods.

Last year I was considering get a travel tripod after carting my larger tripod up mountains and hills. I was lucky to find the gitzo centenary traveller model being sold off on the gitzo website for less than half price (the RRP was something stupid so no wonder they had some left a couple of years later!). Since getting it I’ve hardly taken out my larger tripod as the weight and portability makes taking a tripod out so much easier.
