As to become a professional photography:

1) would you recommend us to use Apple Mac over PC? (I have PC but am expecting to buy a new computer, whether or not it will be Apple Mac or PC)

2) Is Photoshop the most recommend software to buy over the others?

Either. Both will do the same job. Photoshop and Lightroom are exactly the same across the 2 platforms.

oh god. word to the wise these threads normally go down in flames..

the correct answer is they're both intel based PC that do the same thing but layed out differently, both have flaws, both can be relible, both can look good (gone are the days of beige towers).

its all down to personal preference, go and try a mac and a same spec PC and takes your choice.

I use a MBA and a W7/W8 desktop.. Both are fine for photo editing. There will be some that will say that Apple are better for creating but luckily those are getting fewer and farther between nowadays (although there may be something to be said about perceived professionalism, many of the general public still have the backwards view that a professional photographer should be using a mac in their studio). Pick whichever you are more comfortable with and it will work. I personally find OSX slightly better as an internet browsing OS and Windows as a production OS (where I do most of my photo editing).

They are the same. You can even have a mac running windows ;)

So play with OSX, Windows 7 and Windows 8 and see which you prefer.

Thank you very much everyone for the input. I think I'll buy an Apple Mac because I already have PC here (2 1/2 years old)

Anyway, Treeman, interesting photos you have. I have always wanted to do Equine photography but with horse racing (Not polo).
