Hi there looking new pc monitor no more than 300 any you would recommend. thanks

One of the Dell IPS screens (normally U2xxx). Don't forget to budget for a calibrator...

U2311H is a brilliant monitor. If you don't mind second hand you can get a real bargain as they can go for about £150.

Dell gave some excellent monitors with high resolution it all depends what's your budget

Dell 27 inch 2500 resolution is class it's expensive about 650£

Ive just bought one of those new 22" IPS panels by LG, i havent used it yet but its had some good reviews. I got mine flr £180

let me know the verdict please thanks

I'm also in the market for a new monitor so will be following this closely. The colour on my 22" cheapo tv is abysmal! Anyone got a supplier for used dell ips monitors?

IMVHO it's not worth getting a SH one, get a new one, if £££s allow that is.

D in W

Why not? I mean if it pretty much new and no problems/dead pixels with warranty then why not save £50+?

I bought a brand new one on Wednesday evening at 5.19PM from Aria, brand new for £200.00 delivered. Arrived on Thursday at 3pm. Great service, incredible monitor!

£180......what model # was that...?

the 2220 seems to be around £220.....

They are very low priced for IPS monitors. However, reviews I've seen of the LGs have not been brilliant so far, with non-uniform back lighting being the biggest complaint. However, it's difficult as IPS screens have a green / purple glow anyway, so it's difficult to know if the owners are mistaking that for non-uniformity.

I went for the Dell in the end to be sure, and I'm really pleased (only £40.00 more).

Ive had my LG monitor for a week now and i am really pleased with it so far, nice sharp images with good colours

I've had my Dell 3008 now for many years. It is outliving any other component. And you can't get big enough especially with photos :-) The 30" 2560x1600 resolution is outstanding, and calibrated with the Spyder3 it is superb.

I'd save up more :-)

I bought a Dell IPS 2209WA a year or so ago, great monitor, would buy the same one again if it broke. Paid around £200 for it.

Another vote for the Dell 2209WA if you can find one... discontinued now I believe.

I've got one of these also. Love it. The colour and clarity after my last screen is nothing short of a revelation. They are discontinued, but some reckong they are still better than their replacement. Got mine as a manufacturer reconditioned unit (looks like brand new) for about £150.

I'd go with the Dells as already said, the Benq someone asked about is a TN panel with LED backlights, you can't compare it with a s-ips monitor. The S-IPS are in a different league. What I want to know is LG make the screens for iMac's so where is there equivalent?
