Hi Guys,

I need help regarding purchasing a pc. At the moment i work on a Dell laptop using photoshop CS5 to edit my work and i am finding this to be a massive problem as the pictures i see on my screen is not what i am getting when they are outputted to print. Now i really want to invest in a pc but don't have much cash at the mo so if anybody could advise me on what to look for and what king of screen to get as i have been told that this very important!!!

Thanks

Jodie

Maybe it isn't the PC that is the problem, it could well be your monitor.

as above a decent IPS panel monitor and a screen calibrator would be a good start.

budget wise at the lower end are the refurb dell 2209wa at around 175. they calibrate up very well, i use a spyder3 pro for that.

.....but no point in buying a whopping great monitor if the laptop max res is poor. We need to know make/model of laptop first, and like Neil says, you'd be better investing in a screen calibration device rather than a new PC, as the results will still be the same probably....
