It has sent me to the Resoloution Centre, but i have no idea, how i can provide the following documents they need.

I am no drug runner, or human trafficker, it is just a personal account that i use for ebay and buying or selling on here occassionally, but obviously it doesn't take long to get up to £1700, selling a D200, D60, and a few of my old lenses etc.

So how can i provide proof that i am Tax Exempt?

Any advice apart from contacting them directly?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Is your account a Premier account? I think I had a message like this a while ago and I had to upgrade.

It is already a premier account, it's asking about my "Business" and i haven't got one!?

I think i'll email them and see if i can get any sense out of them.

Cheers,

Jonathan

yes i have had this and all i had to do is verify my acount and update my details.

i had a message like this

just ignored it , its all been fine since

Had the same as well, wanting to confirm my card and bank details again, after a couple of attempts at telling them I already had a premier account, and actually speaking to some none english speaking woman, I just left it and have had no prob since.

I'm just wondering if its something they're obliged to do legally , probably just a bit of lip service to the inland revenue

The only restrictions it has appplied to my account is that i cannot close it, so i guess it's not a big issue.

If it aint broke don't fix it i guess.

Cheers,

Jonathan

All I had to was verify my telephone number when I hit some figure like US$3000.

There was some option to select ring-back and type the numbers shown on my computer's screen on my telephone's keypad.

If you don't supply them with your details then you won't be able to receive more than £1700 into your account over a year.

You've picked the wrong option when registering your details - you're not tax exempt or non-profit, that section is for charities only, hence why they are asking you for all those details.

You need to edit your details and change the "Category" from nonprofit to whatever one best fits what you sell/buy on ebay or wherever. I picked "toys and hobbies" for mine, if that helps...

i just closed my account because they kept asking me validate my account even though i had, including them paying a few pence into it for to tell them about. the final straw for me was when they refused to release funds for 3 weeks despite getting positive feedback on ebay.

now i just use them for only free calls on skype (part of ebay, like paypal). at least i can't complain if it's free.

Do not Ignore this.
Fill in what you can, for business just put N/A.
Anything else you cant answer give them a call.
This is an Anti Money Laundering check, law, sod all to do with Paypal.
The reason your own bank does not ask you to fill this in is because they have all the details they need and can just pass them on but Paypal needs to do it that way.
