Paypal guest not working

HI all.
I dont have a UK paypal acc now, reason is they dont allow you to live in another country where your UK CC is registered so I closed it down when my CC came up for renewal.
Now, I want to buy a new camera from Panamoz and use the Paypal guest but all I get is a message telling me this "We're sorry, but the card you have in your PayPal wallet can't be used for this payment. Please add another debit or credit card to complete your purchase.
and as I closed the account down I cant access PP.
What the heck is that all about.
Im using a valid UK CC so I dont see a problem.
Can anyone enlighten me?

I wonder if this is an issue with the process via the Panamoz website, especially if your card requires a Bank verification.

yeah why don't you just use the credit card direct?
You still have the same level of protection I imagine.

Panamoz use Paypal and paypal guest only, not very helpful I know.

Yes it maybe that.
The CC is legit, English card with a French address, I think also it maybe just paypal not liking the French address with a English card.
