If you've had work published in books or magazines or used in TV programmes you may be able to claim from DACS Payback. This is a pool of money from licensing schemes for e.g. photocopying by government departments where it would be difficult for an individual to licence their rights.
Claims need to be in by 30th September 2008, with payment via BACS expected during December. Membership of DACS is not required.
You cannot claim for works published in newspapers, supplements, leaflets, brochures or publications without an ISBN or ISSN number. Nor for works used as logos, trademarks or as part of manufactured products. Nor for videos, computer games, DVD/CD and Web.
