Two very different characters who have died in the last few hours. Swayze will obviously be remembered for Dirty Dancing and Ghost which were two huge films in their time. Keith Floyd was certainly unique and was probably one of the original 'celebrity chefs', I will certainly miss his drunken ramblings and rants.

I only hear earlier about Patrick Swayze, didn't know Keith Floyd had gone to the Aga in the sky too!

i knew swayze had some stomach issues, R.I.P and all that, might watch Dirty Dancing and have a weep now

Sad really; both had fought cancer; now that's a battle where heroes are made :(

Patrick died of Pancreatic cancer last night apparently, Keith of a heart attack!

Just last night there was a program on where the actor Keith Allen went to meet and interview Keith Floyd (Keith meets Keith). Some of the insights into Keith Floyds life were heart rending, a desperately lonely man. Patrick Swayze was probably everything Keith wasn't but both were amazingly talented, RIP.

Rather fitting that the Keith meets Keith thing was on last night. Couldn't watch it because Allen annoys me and Floyd looked so ill but some snippets drifted up the stairs from where SWMBO was watching it - he (Floyd) didn't think much of TV "chefs", did he?

Sad to hear the news about them both, Keith Floyd was brilliant, loved his shows.

R.I.P. to you both

i loved Keith Floyd's style of presenting his cooking shows. He often rambled away but always told it how it is. I remember him refusing a plate of fish in Egypt somewhere because he felt the food wasn't fresh and how he was disappointed with it.

R.I.P

Pancreatic cancer has a very very low survival rate :( Whilst Swayze was always positive in interviews his chances were never good. I always thought his acting was pretty poor actually but something about him was very watchable, infact my girlfriend was watching Road House last night and Ghost the night before.
Floyd was awesome, passionate and maverick, loved his shows and his food.

Steve Jobs suffers from the same cancer, if I'm not mistaken. He seems to be much better, though I may be wrong on that . . or, it may be a different type of cancer

Either way, I was saddened to hear of his passing. I didn't much like his acting, other than in Red Dawn . . but I admire his character, he's been married to the one lady since he was in his early 20s! That must be a record for Hollywood . . something to admire him for.

it's sad that i woke up and found out by facebook of all places.

It is a shame.

:(
I heard about Keith Floyd
Earlier, But I had no idea about Patrick Swayze

Two great characters for different reasons

RIP

i heard that kieth floyd sat down to watch 'Kieth meets Kieth' last night and keeled over dead before the program started?

I was surprised to hear that Keith Floyd was only 65, he looked much older than that when being interviewed by Keith Allen
