Just out of interest. Which colour tray has what in it? ie: stop, fix and developer. I'm just wondering if there is a standard colour tray for the chemical to go in . I have googled it, but to no avail.

It's up to you which colour tray you use for each chemical, but once you decide which tray to use for what, you should stick to that all the time. If you wanted to, you could place a water-resistant sticky label on the outside of the tray so it won't fall off when you're washing them.

I use red for dev, grey wash, white fix.

dont know why, thats just what i chose. Like Carl says it doesnt matter, so long as you stick to it :D

White for Developer, Grey for stop, Red for fix is what I do/did. It's easier to see if the devs going "off" with a white tray for sure.

Haven't had a darkroom for too long now :'(

I used to use white for Dev as I wanted a soft light with no shadows for localised developing, red for stop (self explanatory) and grey for fix, but it doesn't really matter.

Agree with Ed, was taught that at college. As he says self explanatory.
