Guys ive been having a nightmare trying to print a passport photo.

could anyone advise or post a link to a step by step guide please, im using Photoshop CS3.

thanks in Advance:thumbs:

What's the problem?

think i just saved my photos then printed out using windows vista photo image viewer, select the size from the drop down meu

The passport office has fairly strict rules on the photos, check those before printing out (they have changed a few time over the last couple of years) the face has to be a certain size etc.

I've done them for friends and printed on heavy quality inkjet paper (Ilford Galerie smooth pearl 290 gsm) without any problems at all. I suspect most people couldn't tell the difference anyway.

I've done loads for people on an inkjet printer. I think if you use a heavy quality paper no-one is going to be any the wiser.

i think it means not standard 80g paper... i done a few and never had a problem

Actually I suppose it depend on how you define "photographic paper" anyway. It's quite a valid argument to say that inkjet photo paper (compared to say plain copier paper) is indeed "photographic paper" within the terms of the guidance. As far as I know there's no actual mention of any silver halide process or film requirements?

^^^ same point :) (post #9) I obviously type too slow

Do you mean by size? If so in Potoshop go to File – new and set it to height 45mm width 35mm hit OK then open the image that you want to use, drag and drop it into the new document, delete original, go to edit – transform – scale and holding down the shift key drag the corners of the image in to fit, then hit enter. Then drag your finished images onto another new document perhaps sized to A4, flatten the layers and print on an appropriate paper. Or alternatively send the image(s) to an online printer.
