Hey guys and girls...

As some of you may have read in Matts theory thread a few weeks ago, I failed my test - I managed to get a cancellation date for today.

It felt really touch and go, having to deal with a broken down lorry on a by-pass, an ambulance etc but I managed to pass with only 3 minors!!!!

So, if you ever come to bedford - Keep out of the way of a light green crappy corsa :D

Off to celebrate!!

:woot::woot::woot::woot:

Nice one james!
(without wanting to sound like an old man) "this is where you really start to learn to drive."

Trust me... its when I really did
Take it easy behind the wheel :)

God help us, another boy racer on the roads with a Corsa

No seriously, well done, you have put the pressure on Matt now:lol:

Congratulations

It's such a good feeling to pass and go on your first drive alone :)

One thing you'll notice is that your perception and situational awareness will shoot up once you've been driving a bit, the controls will become instinctive and you can spend more time watching out for drivers or pedestrians who act erratically.

Thanks guys!

Just been out for a drive - it feels so weird not having an instructer (had a parent though). It also feels weird

Galaxy - Im not a boyracer, so much effort went into getting this license theres no way I want to lose it!! haha.

Smoothedit- Yeah, it really is - people dont treat you as a learner any more as obviously dont have all the badges on the car so if you drive crap its not as forgiving!

again, thanks guys and girls.

Regards,

James

congratulations.
as i dont live anywhere near bedford, i should be safe then.
is the ferrari on order?
you could always put those "p" badges on your car, while you gain a little more experience/confidence.
worked for my daughter.

that was what i was going to say and im a young woman lol

congratulations now youll spend all your money on petrol

inaredstripe - Yeah its being delivered a week Tuesday. :p

I could do but sometimes its more fun to just jump in at the deep end! haha. I will consider it but Im fairly confident on the road driving - Its just adjusting to a completely different car and also not having an instructer next to you the whole time.

Thanks Wail and Tumbleweed

Liss - Im fearing the lack of money thing already! My parents have said they will help out as the majority of my driving is going to be helping them out e.g. picking sis up from school etc.

Regards, James

How many times you failed is irrelevant to how good a driver you end-up becoming :)

I passed on the 1st go, even though I had a number of "incidents" during my exam; had my first car accident (though a very minor one) later on the very same day. Not a good omen!
