Hi, any advice anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.
Have just been asked to take some photos at a friend's parent's anniversary and 65th birthday tomorrow night. The party is taking place in the village hall. It is not a paid job as I don't feel confident enough to be charging anyone and it will purely be as a favour to a good friend..and good practise. My friend is aware of my inexperience and is willing to take the chance.
I have a 40d, Sigma 24-70 2.8 and a 580exii flashgun which I have been practising with. I have read a previous post on TP in relation to party photography and taken note of some of the settings suggested there. I am visiting the location when my friend is setting up for the party to get an idea of the size, lighting and general setup of the hall. I have also asked my friend what particular photos are of most importance to her and the family so have an idea of what I will probably look to shoot. One of my biggest personal concerns is the groups shots and how to arrange them. Any suggestions or links to things I can read will be greatly appreciated, as well as any other advice.
Thanks
Graeme
