Does anybody know when it became legal to park at night without lights, in lit 30 zones? 1968 perhaps?

I can remember my grandfather using a parking light later than 1968. I would guess about 1972.

Yes that was the date I first came up with, I can’t find an exact date, can someone direct me to a reference on the web please.

I was driving in 1971 and I am sure it wasn't a requirement then
I would say 1969 or possibly 1970 latest
