Hi all,

Does anyone know what carrier Park Cameras use for delivery? Had something dispatched on the 5th on a 2 day service but nothing has arrived today.

UPDATE! Neighbour just brought package round so it's arrived safe and sound! :-)

Sorry for the false alarm, I should be more patient!

The courier should have put a card through your door to let you know the package had been delivered to a neighbour.

Yeah they should do, but they often don't here. Still at least they left it with a neighbour, as some won't even do that!

I'll hazard a guess that they use City Link? Never leave a card, even if its left with a neighbour 5 doors away.

You guess right Dave! City Link it was!

Must say though both the things I ordered, 1 from WEX and 1 from Park cameras both arrived when they should have. I wouldn't hesitate to use both of them again, great service!

One thing that's a real pain with Park is that they won't tell you the tracking info - for 'security' reasons.

Yeah that's one thing I found too as I had no idea who is was coming from, or when. That was the good thing with WEX as I had tracking as soon as it was shipped, so I knew when to expect it.

Seriously? What kind of security issues could there be for buyer to know where his purchase is?

It's been a while, so I may not remember exactly, but it was something like -

PC: "If you were to telephone, or email, asking us for the tracking info then we couldn't be sure it was you".
Me: "So what? What difference does it make if somebody else (somebody who magically knows my name and order number) knows when my package will be delivered?"
PC: "They may phone up the couriers and arrange the delivery address to be changed."
Me: "Can't you tell the couriers to only accept delivery changes from you".
PC: "No."
Me: "Why can't you send the tracking info to the email address or phone number that you have on record for me"
PC: "Security."
Me: "Bye, I'm buying from WEx".

That's lunacy, you would think shops would try and make things easier to attract customers not **** them off.
