Hiya,

Just wondered if anyone on here is doing the paris all nighter this weekend? Its been organised on another forum (not sure which one) which a mate frequents.

Its basically grab the 17:00(ish) train from London to Paris, take lots of photos and do lots of walking about the city. Get the 08:00am train back to London and sleep. The train is £42 so a bargain for a night out taking photos somewhere different!

Anyway if anyone on here is going let me know so i can say 'hello'.

Cheers

Sounds awesome...but i'm not and I can't....have a great time

I'm going over to paris this weekend on a short break, but apparently they are expecting rain rain and more rain. :(

great idea may have to try it on my own one day!

ooo hadnt heard of that....TP version could be cool!

I did suggest once before a trip to Paris by Eurostar (going for the day not night!) but there didn't seem many takers.

its been organised a while back cause you need to book up months in advance to get the ticket for £42 :)

I would think also if you wanted to sit together on the train you would need to buy the tickets in one go (as group booking) and that would mean one person laying out a lot of money and hoping they sold them all!

hi all just very briefly looked into it and could get a return for 29.50 from london to paris in september, if anyone is interested in doing this then i'd be more than happy to try and organise it? speak up if your interested, doesnt have to be a night trip could well be a day trip if you would prefer? let us know

I'd certainly be interested!

just double checked to make sure no mistake was made which proved i am an imbocile and had made a mistake 29.50 was price for single so return fair is £59 sorry for mistake the date i selected was going on the 3rd and returning on the 4th but dates are certainly flexible anyway i'm still up for organising this depend on whether you lot are i can book a total of 9 tickets or can do a special group booking if more would be interested which i guess would mean maybe i could get a discount but would have to see. if your still up for it do please say so i can get a rough amount of numbers to see about definate prices. once again my apologies about the cock up.

The tickets i got are called 'Nightclubber' and they are return but you have to leave after 16:00 and return before 08:00 (i think).

They have limited number of these tickets on each train, but i only booked mine a month ago so I am pretty sure they will have some spare in september.

I am interested in a return trip so count me in if you are thinking of september :)

Thought it was one of those newspaper offers! That might be a thought as sometimes they do 2 for 1 on Eurostar travel in say Daily Telegraph. Still up for it though.

right thats 4 so far including me if mattyh is still up for it?? any more takes come on folks. other question is how will it be paid for? you lot give me cash and i buy tickets or i buy tickets then you lot give me cash?

I am also interested, but depending on pricing really. Tickets down to London from here are pretty pricey + eurostar + a hotel along the line somwhere...could totaly a fair amount in the end :(

Happy to give you cash up front if it helps!

a night trip will be cheaper, i have gotten a reply from the group bookings service team, the night clubber ticket for a group of 15 people which is subject to availability as they only have a set amount per train is £39 or a day trip for a group of 15 is £55 return. what would be preferred day trip or night trip? im happy to go with the flow

I am easy for night or day.. has to be a weekend though... September is a good month, should give plenty of notice for us to get more people on board and get it organised...

Saturday 17th September (just picked it randomly to get the ball rolling)

Might be wise to keep an eye on what these other people produce from there overnight trip - see how good it actually looks at night ;)

Have to be honest I would only go for a day trip. Don't fancy wandering around any city at night with thousands pounds worth of equipment!

right 17th then? i was thinking the 6th of september which is a saturday would is that any better for peops? im easy though maybe a day trip would be better suited as it has been said (although i dont have thousands of equipment but im sure most do) they wouldnt want to carry it round during the night. at the moment you can only view times etc on the eurostar up till 10th of september like i said im happy to be the man in charge on this if this is cool with everyone else? i am already in contact which someone at the ticket booking office to get prices.

right then saturday 6th of september is the date selected, if you want in on this then say so i can get a rough numbers and set about purchasing tickets and such things.

proposed time will be:

leave london at 7.30am arrive paris at 10.56am

leave paris at 20.13 arrive london at 21.41

rough price guide at the moment depending on numbers is £55 return based of a group of 15 people.

if these times are a problem please do suggest better times
