Paramo clothing

Every bit as good and then some. Better than Gore-tex, Sympatex, every other -tex. I wash and proof mine twice a year, once before winter, once after, keeps it clean and VERY waterproof. Use Nikwax wash, then Nikwax TX-10 wash in waterproofer, it really does work.
Quiet too! for stalking wildlife! If I had to give it a minus, it would be that it is quite warm, not a problem in winter, but spring/autumn I just wear a Paramo base layer and then the jacket. I wish I had discovered Paramo years ago!

Just a huge shame that they only do three sizes - small, very small and minute.

What? Just the gillet? May be a dicontinuation line. As for the rest of the range, I have XL, my Son has XXL and my Grandson has L! All Paramo clothing, and I find them on the generous side!

Extremely good stuff!

I have the Andy Rouse wildlife Aspira smock, same base layer and Cascade trousers with a total outlay of almost £600 but it is money well spent; extremely waterproof, snug, quiet fabric and good looking.

I tend to run hot, so superb in winter but too warm in other seasons so just wear base layer

I have a Paramo smock and it's the best thing I've ever worn, I've had so called breathable stuff from most of the competition and they don't come close. I'd say it breathes better than some of my non-waterproof gear.

Top stuff and would highly recommend the Pajero jacket and the Gillet 'body warmer'

Was recommended Paramo by J. Cornish BEFORE he was advertising them everywhere ! Now have four jackets (Pajero being the best IMHO) and various trousers and other stuff. Do tend to find some of it too warm though,
still with various ventilation zips open OK.

Personally I think the main drawback with Paramo stuff is that it looks a bit naff.

If you're wanting to buy cheaply, look out for their "roadshows" (or whatever they're called.) There was one in my home town last winter. They hire a hall, lay out a few trestle tables and sell "refurbs", end of line stock, etc, at very good prices. I think their normal stock was reduced as well.

You might get info about dates etc from their website?

Bought a Paramo jacket 12 yrs ago for hiking. Still have it and wear it occasionally. Very comfortable.

Had a variety of jackets over the years. All supposed to be breathable to reduce condensation. None have been as effective as my Paramo Halcon. Very functional jacket for wandering about in the hills and woods etc. Comfortable, non rustling jacket with a good variable ventilation system. Loads of pockets and it comes in a Forest green colour which is unobtrusive.
