Just back from Paralympics.... Two observations....
1. There swere an awful lot of pros with Canons.... And apart from the odd Nikon, no other makes...
2. My camera and glass were so not up to the job of sport photography. ISO performance on my d5100 is ***** when out at 2000+ and the lenses (VR 55-200 and Tamron 70-300) were just not fast enough at (focussing speed as well as aperture).

I think sport photography isn't for me.....

I was there yesterday, don't have suitable glass so didn't even bother attempting shots of the athletes, just took a wide lens and took shots of the scenery instead.

I've been taking my OM-D E-M5 and 45-200mm lens (equivalent to 90-400mm full frame) and got some fabulous shots! :) Probably not pro quality, as I didn't have the depth of field, but not bad.

I saw quite a few Nikons at the archery yesterday. Was interesting hearing so many burst shots from the photographers in the "hide" thing in front of the archers whenever they fired! Not a job I would want.. danger money!
