In conjunction with a togging weekend in London in the summer I'm thinking it might be a laugh to include a bit of papping in to the small hours.

You know - stalking out the celeb hangouts (Ivy, Met Bar, chinawhites, soho house etc.) and see what happens - who knows perhaps even try to flog a couple of shots if a good one happens to arrive (having a light laptop and 3G mobile with 3GB of data a month may actually come in handy).

Has anyone else tried this and did you have any luck?

Also I don't suppose anyone knows the best days and locations for papping - I'm guessing the list above on a Friday / Saturday nights (and possibly Thursday) are the most likely for a strong turn out. But that's just guessing :shrug:.

Other than Big Pictures any one know of any good pic agencies for celeb photos?

can't confess to knowing the best places, but can recall very clearly seeing three or four togs outside Claridges Hotel Bar which is a side rather than main entrance.

No idea who they were waiting for, it might be one of those 'spots' for a Thursday night. These places have a habit of being in vogue one month and out the next.
 
i was in a bar at Xmas and opposite were loads of photographers hanging around Nobu and this was a thursday night.
this seems to be place to do it.
 
I know that the most popular nights always seem to be on a school night as afterall it's not as if half of them have real jobs. Celebrity is very fickle business it depends on who's in/what's in. I'm certainly up for a bit of hanging around a bit later in the year when it's warmer. I must invest in a flashgun though as frankly the built in one on the 40D is not going to look the part.

I also understand that certain bars etc in L'pool are very popular with certain celebrity types. I must start to take Heat and OK magazine or else there's a real chance that I won't actually recognise anyone.

I remember from my time shooting at London Fashion Week years ago that it pays to listen to what other togs are saying that way you tend to end up in the right place.
 
Mmmm very interesting post....I've always fancied a bit of this myself...be a laugh if nothing else..
 
Is the place to be on a Thursday Night....

I sometimes have to survey jobs there and you can not move for paps and spoiled runts that are more fortunate than most....

Who says Im Bitter........
 
Been thinking about this some more.....how about a TP pap trip :thumbs:

This kind of thing can get a bit rowdy...even between paps...so safety in numbers n that...:clap:
