Hi all.
I just bought a paper roll for home use. Previously been using a roller blind. Not sure why I bought the roll but at the time (I really needed it) you know how it goes !!

Anyways is it ok to leave this paper rolled up hanging at the top of the wall ? Then unrolling when needed.

Don't see any issues with that, as long as the room is not damp.
Thanks Rob.
Funnily enough the room in question is a wood/log cabin. Does have a sofa bed/exspensive drum kit and tv in there and there has never been damp. There is a radiator in there left on low when not in use (most of the time) Maybe paper may pick up any moisture presant though. Will have to see time will tell. I have nowhere to store it really.

That's what they're designed to do, so can't see it being an issue. (What do you think would happen?)
Hi James. I just saw a youtube video earlier this evening which mentioned storing the paper upright when not in use has it gets bands along the roll when it is unrolled ? "if that makes sense"
So thought I would ask the question.

I have 6 or 7 full rolls on my studio wall all the time, if they are rolled away correctly then you will have no issues.

Thanks thats great. Another option is leaving it just hanging down to the floor obviously not onto the flooor seamless style or does that cause an issue ?

You could do that, I have seen some clip on weights that keep the paper taught, they might help.
I have left mine rolled down in situ and that has never caused an issue either.

Good idea. I will look into that. These tips are invaluable.

Wider rolls on cardboard cores can sag in the middle if they're only supported at the ends and not used regularly... This happened to a couple of 2.72m rolls of mine. I put aluminium tubes through mine now to stop the sagging although if you remember to turn them regularly that would probably do the trick too.

Thanks Keith. Will keep an eye out for that. Mine is 2.5m roll and is on 18mm copper pipe supported from about inch either side of the roll end.
