Not sure if this is the right place to ask as it's more of a graphic design/Illustrator question.

I need to get the latest Pantone colour library onto a suite of Mac and PC running Illustrator CS4 to CC as the Adobe supplied profiles have some of the new colours missing.

It's been a bit of a pain finding out what needs to be done, I think I've worked out that I need to get Pantone Colour Manager and maybe install it on a single machine and use that to export the colour profile for all of the other machines to import.

Does that sound about right?

are you wanting to get the pantone libraries from Illustrator CC to older versions, if it is, and you have the latest version you can just import them in CS4,
Window/Swatch Libraries/Other Library then navigate to the latest version which you want to import.

I did the opposite with CS5 I think it was, wanted the old PMS library so I just copied the older versions to the later corresponding folder.

It seems that even the new versions of Illustrator do not have some of the new Pantone colours in, our Design team want to have the most up to date library set.

The only way I could see to guarantee the library was up to date was to use the Pantone software to generate a colour library for Illustrator.
