Pantone Huey or Spyder?

I've had a Huey for around 6 months now and it seems to be doing a good job. It's certainly keeping itself busy adjusting my screen to compensate for the ambient light.

The only reference I have is the photos I've had printed off (by DSCL), and If I compare the print with the screen image they seem close enough not to be an different

Thanks Fforg

I have used a spyder before but i read on hear i think that people couln't get it to work properly and people having probs with colour casts. The Huey seems to be more popular on amazon.

Sounds odd. I don't think you can not get the Huey to work properly. Just install the software, plug in the doodie and do as it tells you.

That's pretty much it, and the only real options are telling it how often to adjust for ambient light, and if you want to recalibrate every two weeks. Other than that it sits on my desk doing its thing, and the only time I know it's there is a slight flicker of the screen as it adjust for ambient light (mine's set for every 15 mins).

And if your not sure whether to go for the Huey or the Huey pro, I'd get the Huey and if you need the pro you can pay the difference and just upgrade the software as the hardware is the same.

Eye One here...

Having used a spyder 3 before I have just purchased one for myself. Gets good reviews and has worked flawlessly for me on a number of occasions in the past.

I would recomend them!
