I have about 8 images I would like to make into a high quality panoramic. I've been playing around with freebie software but I find they work by compressing the 8X10MP images to a final image of 600 pixels!

Paint shop keeps crashing on me every time I try to cut and paste an image.

Any body got any good suggestions?

Cheers Stuart

I'm having trouble with Hugin at the moment as it just won't stich the images ?? - well unless I spends hours showing it the control points :-(

I thought it might be due to the photos being taken from right to left, but reversing the order in Hugin doesn't affect it.

DrRusty - Check it is importing the correct focal length and focal length multiplier for your camera. I've found sometimes it gets those wrong and hence doesn't work.

If you can upload the full size images somewhere I can download and run it through Autopano for you :)

Autostitch...

Cheers guys. this is a fantastic response.

I like Hugin. Its a powerful tool. But it seems to work under the assumption that you are always wanting a 1 x X panoramic.

For that reason I have to say I prefer Microsoft ICE Its easier to use and can generate in my case a 3X3 panoramic. But it gives you less control.

So I will keep both installed on my computer!
