hello people,
can anyone tell me what a good panoramic lens to buy is.. if that makes sense  , how about the sigma 10-20mm?

if you mean ultra wide angle.....

then you have a few options.

sigma 10-20 seems to get good reviews when you consider it's cost. (I just got one for my 400d)
canon 10-22 seems to be the one to get if your not on a budget
tokina do a 11-16 f2.8 i think which might be good if you want to do some indoor low light no flash work

plenty of online reviews on these lenses.

use the pixel peeper website to find photos on flickr using the various lenses.

I got the Sigma 10-20 last week and it's wide, wide, wide. Although i've not given it a thorough workout yet i'm initially very impressed!

The Sigma 10-20 is a decent ultra-wide lens, though as Kenny said it's not the best.

But if you want to take panoramic photos (stitching several images together) then you may not need an ultra-wide lens at all.
