I know this isn't a specifically f and c question but as I want to use the equipment for dijikal as well as with my TLR I figured this would be the place to ask and of course the folks in this cosy niche are wise, well travelled, experienced and handsome/pretty.

Anyway, I've been a bit disappointed recently with my panoramas and I think I need a panoramic head for my tripehound. I really don't want to be spending lots of gold but up to £100 would be OK, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh and I need it to be light and most importantly, simple.

Not easy to match light,Strong, simple and Cheap (£100) and also cover a TLR.

The least critical is the TLR as most are used with a fixed lens . Any simple slide that can place the point of rotation under the "nodal Point" of the lens will do fine for single rows.

It does not match the Nodal Ninja range for quality or strength or in any other way except price , but they seem to work.
 
Thanks Terry, that looks just the sort of thing and not much more than I wanted to spend as well. I shall bear that one in mind.

could you use a macro rail on a normal ball head? Must admit I've never looked into it
 
Why not just buy a Fuji 6x17 instead :D
 
I looked at some on youtube, a long arca swiss plate would do the same thing, but less fancy
 
I made my own - not adjustable or anything fancy, and dedicated to the digital camera (eos450d and the nifty fifty)

it was light and cheap, and pretty effective, but as I don't really use the EOS450 much anymore, it's not had a lot of use :shrug:
 
Clever. If I made one it would have to also contain a net for catching the camera when the main structure fell to pieces.
