panorama from LR2.1 > CS3 problem

In lightroom I am trying to merge 5 photos into CS3 to create a panorama.

I know it should be as simple as photo>edit in>merge to panorama in photoshop

but the only available link I have when I do that is to edit it in Photoshop CS3.

my version of Photoshop I was lent by a friend is CS3 lite edition - could this be the problem? Lightroom is version 2.1, and it's bugging me I cannot make a nice Panorama.

when my friend was showing me the simplicity of it I though it was great - I know I can do it 'simply' enough in CS3, but the beauty about doing it in Lightroom, is that when it's made, it then goes directly back into LR so you can play about with adjustments etc.

Can anyone help me?

First thing I would do is upgrade to LR 2.3. If you've 2.1 it's a free upgrade. Just go to help and click in "check for upgrades"

Then select the images you want to merge into a pano then
Select PHOTO> Edit In> Merge to Panorama in Photoshop.

edit - just updated to LR2.3, but haven't got the CS3 to update.

still not working.

will have a play later!
