Yes
How do you like them, and what do you like on them?

Thin as possible, served with crispy, smoky bacon and maple syrup. Can't beat it

Stacked with ice cream.

Used to be any way they came and spread thickly with something horrendously sweet and sticky (Dulce du Leche was my favourite!) but since I've been diagnosed as Type II Diabetic in the last 12 months, the topping needs to be rethought. I've got some nice diabetic friendly jam which is probably favourite, although a dark chocolate sauce is a contender too!

chilli, ham eggs cheese, chocolate spread, flake and cream., lemon and sugar. peanut butter and jam.

Will have some stuffed with ham, spinach and ricotta and topped with cheese, then browned in the oven. Then some for pudding too- sugar, lemon, jam, syrup- whatever is going! I love pancakes!

Sugar and lemon is the best way. Also a fan of Nutella with slices of banana. Savoury pancakes are just weird.

Thinking about it, I've got a few filled pancakes in the fridge that are nearing their BB date. That's lunch sorted!

Small, fluffy, and smothered in real maple syrup (not the maple flavoured muck).

I make mine the size of the pan and with raising flour so they rise as they cook. Makes them big and thick.
I also use almond extract to make them even nicer.
Then serve them covered or rolled in real butter.

Sugar, lemon juice [real] and maple syrup. I make them really thick, and large - non of your wafer thin skinny pancakes here. I've made ones up to about 1/4 inch thick :D scrubblyumptious!

Tend to have them sweet on Shrove Tuesday

Savoury at other times

Sugar and lemon.....anything else is blasphemous.

End of thread. :annoyed:

Yep, about the same for me too.

The kids have all sorts on them, including chocolate spread and ice cream... even Marmite :bang: :nono:

Daughter says chocolate spread and marshmallow fluff is the best

I like far too much, which may explain my expanding waistline.
Sugar & lemon.
Nutella & banana
Golden syrup
Ice cream & maple syrup.

But whatever you have, you MUST start and finish with sugar & lemon. :D

This year I had them rolled-up with lemon juice, sugar, clotted cream ice cream & syrup inside. Most agreeable. :)

A we spend half the evening peeling pancakes off the ceiling, walls, cabinets and/or the floor.

I've never liked pancakes, it's where they have that yukky stodgy plain-like taste and texture about them and the way they slither down the throat (at least the ones I've tried).

Used to be a lemon and sugar guy till someone told the girlfriend to melt a few segments of Terry's chocolate orange into a pancake all we seem to have now!

I had two today, one with lemon and sugar and the other with cheese and onion.

My daughter had one with Marmite and sugar!

Steve.

Well, after a GP consultation to discuss recent blood test results (which have shown my HbA1C to be well below the level at which I would be diagnosed as even pre diabetic*), I treated myself to a smidgen of sugar on last night's afters pancakes, along with a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Main course included crispy veggie pancake rolls (which were going to be lunch but since they were veggie, we shared them for supper).

*Being kept on the Metformin for another month until another set of bloods but then will hopefully be drug free! Only a week or so to go on the other one which was a standard post brain op dose of an anti epilepsy drug. Fortunately, neither has shown any side effects in/on me, although the steroids and an anti ulcer med (another prophylactic, this time to counter any possible side effects from the steroids) didn't half make me itch for a while!

Got mine yesterday too Nod....41 (5.9% in old money) not bad for T1

Didn't have any pancakes though :(

Well done Ruth! Mine was 38 IIRC - TBH, I'm not sure what the numbers all mean anyway but the vet told me mine was good and that it was probably the tumour that caused most of the symptoms and all the sugary crap that caused the high blood sugar levels!
