Over the weekend I popped out to our local electrical emporia and got my hands on a few cameras.

I was slightly puzzled by the individual who insisted on zooming out every camera they could lay their hands on, then thrusting the lens into their kids face and loudly saying, "You are out of focus" but hey, that's obviously their thing.

Now my camera knowledge isn't vast (okay its limited to what I can write on a postage stamp) but when a man in a shop tells me "This is the lens. It zooms in and out" you know you're in trouble.

The shop(s) didn't have a TZ70 but they had a TZ71. It looked nice but seemed a bit lightweight, a bit flimsy, the TZ80 was only in one shop, retailing for about £40 above the RRP and the FZ200 seemed solid but I don't know enough about bridge cameras to know whether its good or not.

I want a camera with a good zoom, not too heavy (post stroke), decent image stabilisation, decent low level light images- not that I shoot in the pitch black but the occasional gloomy interior..

So, has anyone got/had/tried any/all of these who can give me their opinion based on my requirements ?

Or suggest alternatives..budget about £350..

Thanks
