Panasonic GX7 Flash question.

I have got something wrong in the set up of my GX7, I have read the manuals relevant section, but still cannot work this problem out, so if anybody knows the answer to the question below,please shout out:

The manual says that popping the flash in PSAM modes will activate the flash, however, when I pop the flash up,the flash icon on screen has a line through it and it won`t fire. If I go into the menu to alter the flash, I can`t even access it. However,if I put the camera into C2 mode, then it all works fine.

I guess i`m missing something, probably something very simple. Anybody any ideas?

I`ll try that,it is in silent mode, thanks for the idea.
 
Thanks David, you are correct,all working as I want it too now.

So am I David, it was annoying me. Really getting to liking the M4/3 system now.

I think I know that Blackbird! Interesting to see the results you are getting with that wee camera................................. even though you were in bed!!

Yeop, all this crawling around in the undergrowth in camo gear is vastly over rated, just lie in bed and do it,much easier.

Sime with mine now Simon, works very well set up like that,well it does for me.

Off to Sicily soon and only taking the GX7, see how it goes.

Cammo gear, never use the stuff. I might think of taking a bed to the hill though! It was good to see you & the boss again.
