Oh I like the GX9
As I suspected.
Hmmm ... thanks tt.
I like my GX9 too, just not with those lenses.
Much better proposition in the classifieds, GX9 with a 14-140.

Yeah I saw that. Not sure about the 14-140.Much better proposition in the classifieds, GX9 with a 14-140.
Feedback system works well and some large sums get exchanged without issue.Yeah I saw that. Not sure about the 14-140.
Not sure about buying blind though TP either ... as much as I love it, otherwise.
As I said, you can get a brand-new body for £500. There are also deals around with kit lenses included, which gives the security of a brand-new camera from a UK dealer…I like my GX9 too, just not with those lenses.

As said, the lenses aren't the best but they're also far from bad. They're both decent at the shorter focal lengths but softer at the long end. Read the user reviews on DPReview to see what owners think of them.Hey guys,
I've seen this advertised locally, with no decent close up pics and no proper description other than copy&pasted blurb.
Panasonic Lumix DC-GX9 Camera
M.Zuiko Digital ED 75–300mm F4.8–6.7 II
M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm F3.5-6.3
I'm not familiar with either of these lenses, and MPB don't currently have either in stock.
What would you say the three items are worth?
Thanks
So do I. It’s easy tocrop to the other formats, and it’s about the closest to A4, which is the ratio I print.I leave my G9 and GX9 on its native setting of 4:3
Agreed. So do I. It’s easy tocrop to the other formats,
Ive never felt I needed a 14/28 mm.Does anyone else have and like the 14mm f2.5?
I had one years ago but didn't use it much and sold it when I got the tiny 14-42mm kit lens and decided that would cover my 14mm needs. I bought another 14mm f2.5 recently and I really like it. It's sharp enough from wide open and it's tiny.
One more pictureThis time at f4.

I'm sure its me, I've just rarely thought "I need wider". I've been into photography for many years but in shutter count I'm a novice on here.Oh dear. It's considered a classic focal length and it has its fans but that doesn't mean it'll suit everyone.
A while back and maybe still today it was the most used focal length / FoV by far... due to smartphones.
I mainly use the 12 - 60 kit lens. Also a 25/50mm prime. I very rarely go down the dusty end of the kit lens so never hankered for a wider prime.I don't think of 28mm equiv as being particularly wide although at one time I suppose it was probably as wide as you could go while keeping the prices reasonable.
Have you got a preferred focal length or maybe you prefer a standard zoom?
That'll happen.I mainly use the 12 - 60 kit lens. Also a 25/50mm prime. I very rarely go down the dusty end of the kit lens so never hankered for a wider prime.
Current fav is my 100-300 mk2.
Walked the dog over the golf course this week. Left the big zoom home and went the lightweight prime option.
The biggest Buzzard I've ever seen sailed low over us at least 10 times. I swear I could hear it laughing. Doh!
I love long lenses. I was watching a video yesterday on v long lens street photography. Interesting. Could be my new project. That'll happen.
For a while a 12-24mm was my most used lens but I've mostly liked 35/50mm lenses and as 28 isn't all that far from 35 it's fine with me. It's the longer lengths I've never really got into but for MFT I do have a 45-150 and a 100-400mm but don't use them a lot.
I had a big purge a few weeks ago and sold all my manual (film era) lenses for a good price from WY Cameras. Worth the rail journey into Leeds!I have a lot more interest in lenses than in cameras but this has lead me to have far too many lenses. I try to use them all in rotation so they do all get used eventually and I've told myself I wont buy any more![]()
I might just make a note of that because eventually I suppose my eyesight or steadiness won't be what it was and if that happens and I can't use them they'll just be ornaments.I had a big purge a few weeks ago and sold all my manual (film era) lenses for a good price from WY Cameras. They offer very fair prices, and if you want they’ll get them collected by DPD.I might just make a note of that because eventually I suppose my eyesight or steadiness won't be what it was and if that happens and I can't use them they'll just be ornaments.

Definitely looks interesting!Lots of rumours that Panasonic are planning to sell a M4/3 rectilinear 9mm f1.7 AF weatherproof lens for under £500
Sounds very interesting and one I would definitely be keen to own should it come to fruition.
