Hi,

Having tired of lugging round my SLR's at days out at the zoo, and at the beach etc I've been toying with the idea of buying a Panasonic TZ10 as it seems to get rave reviews and it also incorporates some great features(Hi-Def movie recording is a big plus point in a compact for me) So I thought I'd ask you lovely people on here what you honestly think about this camera if you've used one or happen to own one.

Thing's i'm interested in knowing are:

Is the recording time limited by the memory card, or does it have a limit built in the camera itself?

I'm using a Mac, does the AVCHD/Lite format work with iMovie and other editing programs ok? Are movie files recorded seperatly on the memory card from image files(JPEG)??? Other compact camera's/Camcorders I've seen use awkward file formats when recording video(JVC for one) which needs to be converted before editing meaning time wasting.

Mike.

I had a TZ6 and the movie function worked fine on my iMac.

The TZ10 is supposed to be a cracking camera!

as long as the lighting is good the pics are fab with the pics are fab with the tz10. only had mine for a brief spell and sold it on as it was for the mrs and she's not all that into photography.

A mate got one for Christmas and is very pleased with it. Is giving him se great shots and he is loving the video function - looks very crisp and clear from what I've seen and he isn't the steadiest when using a camera.
