Panasonic cashback and Jessops

A friend of mine bought a Panasonic GX1 through Jessops in December and they have not yet claimed the cashback amount. Does anyone know if Panasonic contact the company before they agree to the cashback? He has a proof of purchase i.e the order details which shows the purchase date. Thanks for any help, Sarah

Hi Sarah

Not dealt with Panasonic, but when I've done a cashback with Canon, all they wanted evidence of proof of purchase, with what the item was and serial number - ie the receipt for the cashback.

They just need proof of purchase, no contact will be made to the seller.

I've had loads back from Canon and just done he same with Olympus.

Just make sure they don't leave it too long.

As above, no checking with the reseller - just a copy of the receipt to prove the purchase qualifies for the cashback scheme.
Job done.

I put in a claim for £130 to Panasonic for a Jessops order in December, had to upload a copy of the receipt, nice easy process actually. The money is gong straight into my Paypal which I thought was very forward thinking of them.

You can also ask for Love2Shop vouchers instead and you get a bit more (£150 instead of £130 in my case) but I decided against it, glad I did now as I would have only wanted it to spend more in Jessops!

30 days and still no cashback for me, I've emailed the claims email address. Anyone else still waiting?

When i got my first g10 a few years ago, i waited 2 months for the cash back offer from Panasonic.

30 days for me too and no sign of the cashback (I didn't buy mine from Jessops, though).

Finally got mine, they wouldn't pay up on either lens that came with my kit, even though the cashback system specifically asks for the kit lens serial numbers as part of the same process as the body (and credits £50 for them as you go through the process)

Having claimed Panasonic cash-back on several occasions it is my impression that they give cash-back only on the total kit. It would be incredible to give cash-back for individual items within a kit and financial disaster for Panasonic
I think you may have misread the terms and conditions - you are not being fair to Panasonic in this instance IMHO

I would always chase up a claim over 30 days old
Your best bet is to actually call Panasonic on the number quoted on the website for the cashback offer
The staff are always very helpful and they seem to have a database of claims in progress and can quickly tell you if your claim has been registered and at what stage it is at and if payment is in the pipeline
Regards
Rob
