My 5DIII + 24-105 arrived this morning from Panamoz,

Shipped as agreed - Arrived on Date expected, Box contained UK Power Lead & English Printed Manuals (Sealed Bags) - Along with a screen protector and 1 year warranty card from Panamoz in the box

Packing was good. No damage to the box or contents.

Lens was a UA12 Production so Dec 2012 so recent stock, Not a shelf sitter!

Totally Misdescribed and MisWeighed for Customs.

Weight on Package <1kg Description stereo equipment parts

The UPS guy said the weight on the pre printed label was irrelevant as it was a prepaid account so shipping is charged at actual weight on collection, but the misdescription of <1kg on the shipping label along with the "Stereo Equipment Parts" no doubt ghosts it through any checks UPS do for value for customs.

So Happy to have the item, no hassle and good communications. Although there is obvious slight of hand going on with regards import duty etc.

Mine was the same. 'stereo equipment parts' but do these packages not get x-rayed at all??

7D has just arrived from Panamoz, had a slight worry as I couldn't see the charger lead. But I've got a US(I think)plug. Anyone have the same?

The box was unsealed aswell...

I have the 1 year warranty but had told them I would rather have the camera calibrated and returned instead of getting a new 1 with the same problem. they have just emailed me to say it is being inspected at the minute so at least I know something is happening.

I bought a d800uk model, had problems with left focus, sent it to Nikon uk and was with them nearly 4wks, so if u get urs back within that time then you are doing well. I don't see issue with buying from panamoz, it's good to pass on savings especially wen we upgraded every other year, as for jessops- personally I've never had a proper conversion with my local jessops they never seemed to be bothered and wen I did get speaking to someone they where always right, or so they thought, like I say that's me personally speaking about my local jessops maybe you guys found it different

Ordered the Canon 24-70 F2.8 MKII lens from them today, BACS transferred

I'd like one too :)

the 16-35 is not a bad lens and will do nicely if you want the flexibility of the zoom

I did a bank transfer yesterday to Panomoz, from reading on this forum, I guess it is fairly safe? Haven't had a reply from Tina yet but I guess she might be quite busy.

I did a bank transfer on Thursday night, Friday morning I had confirmation the money had been received, later on I got a UPS tracking number with a delivery day, so far, I'm well impressed.

Okay, I havent heard anything yet and did a bank transfer yesterday afternoon.

Northstar, did you do a bank transfer to a HSBC bank account in SALFORD ?

i did my transfer about an hour ago and already got shipping confirmation / ups tracking number.

24-70 II and 85 1.8 winging their way to me :D

After having a hard thought on what lens to get between the 16-35L and the 24L i decided to go for the 16-35L.

i have ordered and made the payment. no shipping info yet though but hopefully get it sometime next week with no issues :)

cheers

Yes I did and I put the reference Panamoz sent me, in the reference box on my bank transfer page. I also replied to their email and told them I had sent the money.

Ordered and paid for a 7D for my Dad, great comms and arrived in 3 days, Genuine Canon English manual and plug..

Just excellent service, big thanks to the team from me, will definitely buy again.

I ordered a Panasonic GX1 on Monday evening (paid by PayPal), got the tracking info email on Tuesday and the camera arrived on Friday lunchtime.
UK plug and manual included. There's no sign at all that it was purchased from outside the UK.

Very impressed!

Has anyone recently ordered a Canon 600EX-RT from panamoz? Did it all come boxed with everything you'd expect?

Thanks

Have you not got something or just wondering? There's nothing much to get with a flash unit. A foot and a pouch and a manual is all that's normally included and there's no reason that Panamoz would supply anything different.

My 5D3 came with everything it was supposed to.

Sorry, should've been clearer, I haven't ordered one yet, but thinking about it. I just wondered if there were regional differences between say a UK model Speedlight and a non-UK one. As the 600ex has radio control, I didn't know if there were different frequencies etc used in each part of the world.

Canon 24-70 MKII arrived today, fully boxed and everything as it should be!

p.s at 24mm f2.8 wide open the corners are pretty sharp!

I will buy again from them

snap - mine arrived today as well and is rather lovely. Paid for thursday afternoon and arrived monday lunchtime - pretty good i'd say!

Hi, just a couple of questions about buying from Panamoz and to other online sellers:

- Will the Nikon official/authorize camera repair shops handle and fix camera body/lenses even if the item is a grey import? (lets say warranty given by online supplier already lapses) and you are willing to pay the repair fee?

- Is the service fee the same as with a genuine UK stock item?

- Have you already tried to add your grey items to your photography insurance? Will they ask for a receipt? (base from your experience and what I read in this thread, Panamoz is not issuing a receipt)

- Have you tried claiming in your photography insurance with your grey items included?

Thank you in advance :)

the invoice is a receipt.

and that suffices for insurance purposes.

any service centre will repair a product if you pay the costs.

Not sure about that - Normally there are differences in frequencies. Worth asking them the spec of that.
