Similar problems Steve, I've popped off 2 messages in the 'contact us' section on their site and a direct email to support@panamoz.com in the last 5 days. I've not heard anything. It's really frustrating! :bang: I just want to pay by BACS. They're still cheaper not paying via BT but if they don't respond to my emails, i'm wondering if I should deal with them at all.

Sent 1 email to procamerashop and they responded in 30 mins...

I sent em an email regards to my order not shipping in the first 24 hours, but replyd back about 1 and half days later that they had run out of stock and just got new stock in. And got posted on saturday, was at London on Monday , and delivered at Manchester on Tuesday about 2pm.

I have to admit, that i am happy with their service so far, as the camera works perfect, the box had been bubble wrapped good.

For the price i got it for i am very happy! Will defo order from Panamoz again!

Hi, a question to all who have bought your gear from HK.

How you protect your gear (theft - accident - loss - accidental damage)? Do you take out some sort of gadget insurance or something? If ya then where from?

Looked @ protectmybubble quoted about 6-7£ per month...

I looked at them, you're NOT protected. They insist on receipts with a VAT number etc. Says imports are not covered.

Really... damn, didnt read the small print.. so no protection for imports? :)

Bang goes the saving you made on the camera then :)

Currys at the moment has twin pack of Sandisk 16GB Ultras for 19£. Good price i think.

Ordered a new Canon s110 for my wife from Panamoz on Sunday and received it today, £110 cheaper than UK price and i didn't move from the ipad! Fabulous service, no wonder the UK high street chains are struggling.

Just want to share my experience with Panamoz.

I ordered NEX-5RL on Wednesday, pay on Wednesday, and received the camera on Friday. Great product and service so far. The camera came with UK charger and english manual.

The only thing is that the screen protector that came with the camera does not fit with the camera screen. I have to cut it a bit. But that not a big deal.

They lost on my business by leaving it 3 days to reply to an email.

I went with HDEW who answered the phone when I rang it and placed my order and had camera in hand a few days later.

Wow 7d for £655!!! It's nearly a grand over here, and then you can save 5% with BT! So tempted as my 40d has just died :(

I'm going to have a major falling out with Panamoz very soon if i dont have some sort of reply from them today. Bought a new D7000 from them in December and had to return it last week because of back focus issues. I was told to return it to some random residential address in london to he checked, they recieved it last Thursday and despite emailing them yesterday and today I cannot even get a confirmation that they recieved it. It has been signed for according to royal mail. I'm going away this weekend and looks like I am not going to have a camera for it. Not happy.

This is one of the main issues with buying from abroad, it's not like you are dealing with Wex or Calumet...............but then you would know that before you ordered.

It may just be the case it takes longer to check or repair the camera. If you have the 1 year replacement warranty though I'd imagine you'll have a new body before the week is out.

I have the 1 year warranty but had told them I would rather have the camera calibrated and returned instead of getting a new 1 with the same problem. they have just emailed me to say it is being inspected at the minute so at least I know something is happening.

They will send an email once its ready to ship eg gives you tracking number.

Well with all the good reviews on here I have taken the plunge as well

Canon 5D MKIII + 24-105 for £2270 all in was just to much to resist, just paid by bank transfer, so will wait and see how long it takes now.

Mine took 3 days! Delighted.

I have decided it is time to update my Canon 30D because, you know, it is 2009 or something. Looking for a 7D, the UK prices are too much but the HK ones are too little, and I am weak and poor. Mainly the latter.

Reading all the reviews on all the threads on all the forums I am tempted by Panamoz, but still have one doubt. If I buy from HDEW I would have a UK invoice for servicing, but they cost £70 more than Panamoz. That is a difference of a 50mm 1.8, and I have not broken one for a while, so I could do with a new one. Although from what I have also read, HDEW give a photocopied English manual and adapter plug while Panamoz supply proper British accessories.

So, is HDEW worth the extra? I am about 88% certain it is not, but I have an open mind and would appreciate any advice from people who know what they are talking about. There is also the question of whether to pay by bank transfer and save another £32.75 or use Paypal for the protection, but I think I will take the safer option there.

Thanks.

Just bought from hdew and got a uk 3 year warranty as well. Also you get to speak with someone from the uk when you ring.

Just recieved an email from them to say that they are sending me a new D7000 body as a replacement for the one I had with back focus issues. Cant complain much about that.

Phil

Well to update my experience, (Must admit to being a bit worried about paying £2270 by BT), but the experience of others on here reassured me.

First contact with Panamoz, Tuesday 2.24pm emailed them to order

They replied at 3.27pm Tuesday with Invoice and Bank Details

Paid by BT 4pm Tuesday

They replied at 9.10am this morning (Wednesday) to say payment arrived and Tracking details would follow

They replied again at 12:20 with UPS Tracking number.

Now just have to wait for it to enter the UPS system and get here

But so far I am more than impress with the prompt and helpful replies.

Vicky,
I placed orders with them a few months ago for nearly £2,000 and cannot fault them in anyway, I'll use them again when I need more gear, great company.
