Nothing more recent than yesterday afternoon? only eight threads down on this very page?

You're safe to use them, you'll get your item very quickly once sent and be able to track it all the way.

Have used them & spent a lot of money with them. Excellent service every time.

Have you used the bacs with them? How long did you wait to hear back after you did it?

I used them earlier this month, paid by BACS with no issues as did a mate who bought a couple of Fuji lenses from them.

Quick delivery via FedEx, quick response to emails, just a great company to deal with.

I have paid duty & Vat but they reimbursed me quickly so they are highly recommended.

Paid by bank transfer every time. Must admit it was a little worrying doing so because of the amount. Heard back from them almost immediately & packages arrived by FedEx a couple if days after. Will definitely use them again.

I can't understand what all the hype was on previous threads? About taxes etc? I know about using local business etc, trust me I am self employed. The internet however is the way things are these days.

No Paul, you don`t understand.

Buying from Panamoz means you are importing goods that are not declared properly to HMRC. Some people think that is ok, some people don`t.

That is about the crux of the matter.

Customs scan most parcels and if one doesn't look right they will add a import charge. Panamoz pay this so no issues there. If one or two get thru the net then happy days. I buy a lot of fishing goods from japan. All price marked clearly. Some I pay customs, some I don't. Who is to blame there?

Without wanting to get involved in the squabble over this topic. It appears that some Hong Kong companies are less than truthful with the customs declaration as to what is in the parcel and/or the value.

It is the importers responsibility to correctly import the goods into the UK.That is the person purchasing the goods. You.

You are.

It's your legal responsibility to declare it and pay duties / VAT if you are the importer. If it's not picked up in a spot check, there's a form you can fill in.

It is not a matter of the moral do gooders arriving, I have said twice that I won`t get involved in the argument on either side.

There is a legal way of doing things and an illegal way, which you choose is up to you. But please don`t dismiss the people who do it the right way as do gooders.

Totally your choice how and where you buy goods,as it is for everybody.

You've said twice you won't get involved and yet you have. For all those law abiding, tax paying citizens that have never don't anything wrong in their lives, this thread us not for you.

Paul asked a question, I answered it, if that is too much for you to comprehend, I suggest you disconnect your internet.

I do declare tax where due but if the government wasn't soo greedy in people's hobbies this country would be better off IMHO.

The bank transfer is a uk bank too. Panamoz have been trading for a few years by the looks of things so surely they pay their taxes for the office based in the uk. I'm not directly importing but I am thru a uk based company office who is purchasing on my behalf. Who's to blame on that one? As far as I'm aware it's legal and legit.

They can claim vat back on goods too as I'm pretty sure their turnover will be over £79,000 pa
