For those who use a Benq monitor and the Spyder X calibrator, do you use Palette Master Elements or Spyder X software for screen calibration?
Just watched a couple videos and the presenters used Spyder X software.
Thankyou, Russ.

I use palette master Ultimate but I think that depends on which BenQ monitor you have.

If you use the Spyder X software your not doing a hardware calibration, your doing a software calibration.

To use the hardware calibration you have to use Palette Master Elements or Ultimate

I too use PMU and the thing to bear in mind (at least with SW series monitors) you can store up to 3 hardware calibrations. I use my xRite Display Pro.

Here are the specs for PMU (NB The older Pallete Master Elements was a derivative of xRites i1 Profiler. PMU is a new from the ground up colour science based program created by BenQ

Thanks, after reading your reply I had to go and find out the difference between the two options:p and seems hardware is the best option. Russ.

Yes, hardware should be more accurate and the LUTS are stored in the display which takes a load off the GPU.

If you have a display with the puck it also allows for quickly switching between different profiles.
