Painting a tumble drier

I have a tumble drier which has a couple of rust marks on the front. It works fine but doesn't look very pretty. Any advice for what paint would smarten it up?

There's some "special" enamel around and also RustOleum spray but would Smoothrite work? I prefer something I can apply with a brush to spray paints.

Yep, that's what Google said Have you used it? If it's good I'll get a can - but I wanted to check it works first because if it isn't good it will look awful

I'm an ex spray painter but have also used brushes a lot.
If I was doing a washing machine and just touching up rust spots, I'd buy the spray paint and a small artist's brush.
Use a small piece of folded up wet and dry sandpaper to remove the rust, then spray the paint into the lid and use the brush to dab on a few coats.
That is likely to look neater than using the brush enamel, which will be a lot thicker to work with.

If you’re going to just do the rust spots then, as above, rub them down smooth first. Then I’d use bath repair paint.. the one that comes in a little tube with a brush inside, like the old car touch up paint used to. I got some from Amazon to repair a couple of chips in the bath and it flows out really smooth.

If you’re going to repaint a whole panel or the whole thing, yup I’d use Smoothrite.
