Paint.Net HELP plz!!!

Hey

I have just downloaded some free photo editing software which is very much like PhotoShop.

I am just playing around with it and know how to select parts of the photo and blur it but my question is....

Does anyone know how I can blur the edge of things so that it blends rather then there being an obvious line when I have blurred it?? :shrug:

I cant seem to find it...or anything like it...You can select and area to be blures but not an actual tool to blur edges! Its so annoying!!

I've just installed it, it doesn't even have a decent selection options menu
Nope, I didn't manage to find the feather option there. In none of the menus.
A not very useful workaround for that could be copy the selection, paste it into a new layer and blur it there.

Or you can ditch Paint.NET and try the GIMP, which curretly has more features and I think it's also very easy to use once you understand the basics of image editing apps.

Paint.Net has some similarities to Gimp in that you can add plugins and filters to customize it.

Good point, I've tried a few of them before, but they were not particularly stable.

I have now downloaded GIMP and it is so much better, so i'm happy now Thank you everyone!
