Hi,

I have just taken delivery of an Elemental Genesis 2 MK II lighting kit.

Having checked it's all there and working I've just put it all back into the large bag that it came in. I am aware that there is a potential for a bit of movement in the bag and as everything is now 'loose' I am pondering how to secure / pack it so that nothing gets damaged.

Looking on a popular auction site there is 1" foam that you can buy, this may be the answer to pack things up better, but has anyone got any better suggestions?

Thanks!

Michael

I took delivery of an Interfit Venus kit today, and I'm using some of the bubble wrap it came in for now, hoping I can think up something better though. I'm hoping to flight case most of my kit so I can take it with me when I tour with work.

Just fill the bag up with the extension leads etc that you need when using it... those elemental bags aren't the greatest, but enough for between car and shoot or w/e. I use a big peli case to hold studio kit...

The bag on the Interfit kit isn't up to much (IMHO) and if I'd bought just the bag I'd have probably sent it back lol. Peli cases would be ideal for touring, but they're so bleedin' expensive!

check ffordes and post a wanted ad in classifieds in here. I use the bag that my studio heads came in as padding/dividers inside my peli case.

Jit-pak or various ebay shops are the cheapest places to buy peli cases, though I know they do offer some sort of military discount too :/
