Week 31 : Abandoned

A forlorn shopping trolley abandoned on Midsummer Common, Cambridge.

Abandoned: Ah, the ubiquitous shopping trolley.
 
I think we may get a few shopping trolleys... nearly did one myself earlier today. Yours is better than the one I would have taken.

Windows, an even greater insight int the wing structure of the insects this time. Lovely background to it too. Great shot.

Shopping trolley defintely abandoned. Nice mix of nicely muted greens and the blue too. Super sharp and perfect DOF goes without saying.

I really like Pretty and Windows, it's great to see so much detail.

Abandoned, I like the inclusion of the cyclist, the colours match the trolley rather well.

Week 33 : Machine

HST 253051/43184, 'Laira Deisel Depot' passes The Sidings Hotel on the approach to York on 18th August 2023. 43007 on the other end.
Great to see this in the original 1970s Intercity 125 Executive livery! The Class 43 HST holds the world record for the fastest diesel train at 148mph - set in 1987 and yet to be beaten.

The D850 battery cover - just wear and tear - needs replacing.

HSTs are slowly being replaced. They won't be around much longer :(

Ta :) Probably doing about 100mph.

If it was coming past every 30min I;d have tried a panning shot. But this was a one off so took no risks :)

I remember when we were disappointed to see an HST replacing a Class 50 hauled service.
It's strange that we are now nostalgic for the HSTs.

I'd seen a couple of shot of this one back in it's original livery. I hope a preserved railway take a couple of these on.
