Week 7 : Through a Window

Thursday afternoon and a 3:30pm flight back from Lisbon to Manchester. We had a great week! So much to see and do and eat! :)

Ponte 25 de Abril is a suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon, capital of Portugal, to the municipality of Almada on the the Tagus River.

Ta :) and well - 18deg C was ok I suppose but not a refreshing as 0deg when we finally got home :eek::headbang:
 
Nice one Dave. You got the light on the right side of the plane and I like those wispy clouds drifting across.

I got a wing too and had work between it and the wash from the engines to get anything like sharp.
 
Catching up - the silouette shot is full of energy and atmosphere - brilliant. Amazing plane capture to, and those clouds give some extra scale and depth

Edward VIII post box here in Lancaster. Not many of these were made as King Edward VIII was on the throne for less than a year before abdicating.

Ta - yes it will have it's from 1936. There are many more older ones round here though. VR from 1837 for example!

A street sign, and a symbol, and a little bit of history all in one. Well done.
 
That threw me when I saw it in the feed. A nice bit of history that I was unaware of.
