I have lived in Oxford for 6 months now and have still failed to find a photography shop to buy film. Does anyone know if I'm being blind or stupid? If so, where on earth are they?

I don't think there are any in central Oxford I'm afraid although happy to be proved wrong!

I don't know Oxford, but if there's a Boots there, you could try there? Poundland also sells cheap, but surprisingly good, Agfa film for a quid, and larger Tesco and Asda stores also usually have Fuji Superia or Kodak film in stock.

That said, buying mail order tends to be cheaper, especially if you want anything other than consumer film - try Mathers of Lancashire, Mailshots, AG Photographic or 7 Day Shop.

T4 in witney are probably the closest photographic specialist (they also have branches in swindon, newbury etc)

That said you can buy film mail order for various places

7 Day shop for me pay £2 carriage for as big an oder as you like and prices are as good as it gets i find.

Buy online. Better selection, better prices, and often better service for film users!

Oxford is short of good places to buy film. If you're stuck, snappy snaps on Cornmarket does sell Ektar though. It's not the cheapest, but it has got me out of a jam a few times.
