Owls at night

Hi
I have a Tawney owl visiting a farm I’m allowed to go in. The farmer says I can photograph it but I’m not allowed to use a flash. Can anyone advise on a good led light that would be suitable please.

Speak to the farmer again. The flash won't harm it and it probably won't even notice it, a LED light will really disturb it.

If the answer is still "No" then maybe very high ISO?

I haven't taken many photos of animals at night and had two reactions to the flash I used.

Mostly the animals(this is limited to fox, badger and pine marten) appear not to notice the flash but one fox took off like rocket as the flash fired. However, agree that a continous light is likely to upset the owl more.

Wild animals are not normally bothered by flash because they're used to lightning.

Bright lights will scare off most animals at night - think car headlights. Everything runs away . . .

what about this https://nightfoxstore.com/collections/torches i had the same situation a cpl years back and was looking into what to use .
By the time i had decided on something the owls had gone, but got some decent footage with a trail cam.
