I joined here yesterday after buying a Nikon D3100 a couple of weeks ago, a loan of a D50 for a few months and years of loving taking photos even with a compact camera, I like tweaking them after too but only know the basics in this also. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed though when I look at everyone else's photo's on here though, mine feel so basic in comparison it feels like forever to get to the standard of the people I have seen so far on here! Does anyone else feel that way or remember feeling like that? Will keep going though. Here's a few of my photos to show you what I mean!

Most of these are taken with a D-SLR, images 4 & 5 are compact camera. Any tips welcome, especially on how to make them more interesting. Thanks :D

Hi Sarah,

don't worry so much! The shots you are taking are good and you can only get better as time goes by. Try and find a good local club that is progressive and arranges lots of shoots. Some clubs just get together to show each other their shots and whilst it's good to get some critioque, you need to be using your camera as much as you can. Where are you located........ your profile needs completing so that it shows your location and then you will get more contacts.

Good luck

Malcolm
