Would like to make it quite clear, this is NOT my doing. It was some bloke sat behind me, who was having a right old whinge about the toilets being out of order and proceeded to do his business there and then.

Are you taking the p*ss? Thought I'd get in first.

Andy

Why would you even take photo's of this never mind actually taking the time to post it?!

I must say, possibly the most pointless thing I've seen on here :(

I don't see how this is any less pointless than Tracey Emin's "My Bed", which was "created from a badly stained mattress and sheets surrounded by dirty knickers, vodka bottles and used condoms" or one of a wet cat, perhaps.

Maybe the point is that it's a critical analysis on the state of public transport in the UK; while transport bosses are raking in 5 and 6 figure salaries and the cost of utilising public transport is increasing, they're unable to maintain their trains to a reasonable state.

Perhaps the point was to highlight the failure and lack of respect in society and the effects of binge drinking.

Pick one.

I'm not claiming that this diptych is ground breaking, but there's a certain symmetry in the diagonals between the two images that reflect each other, and so balances the image quite well.

Personally, I thought it was hilarious and was amazed that a 50+ year old guy could seriously sit behind me and urinate in public on a train.

Well had I of seen the thread "My Bed" then 'perhaps' I would of said this was the second most useless thing I've seen on here. Although I find it rather harsh to be criticising other people's work when they aren't here to defend it.

If you wanted to use this images to discuss the critical analysis on the state of public transport in the UK or binge drinking then perhaps it would of been wise to post something about that in the original post instead of just a pee covered floor. You would also of been better posting such a thread in here than in General Photo Sharing.

What I find humerous is that someone who's photo's I normally enjoy, (with some nice shots from the Anti-BNP protest) would get so wound up they would actually go off and search for threads I had created in order to try and put me down somehow!

Tracy Emin's 'The Bed' was actually a piece of artwork. Not a photo.

She got a bed, and then ruffled it up and scattered vodka condoms etc etc around it.

Strop trolling!
What I find humorous was that this photo is CLEARLY just to show the OP's disgust at the way people are and the total dismay the OP felt when some idiot started having a pee in a public place where people have to walk.
Stop looking for a fight, I don't understand it!

Seemed reasonable to me - not like it was posted in 'Advanced critique' or anything...Guy's annoyed by the state of the train he was in and took a photo documenting it...what's the problem?

If you don't see the point, fine - but to take time to comment on that is a little bizarre...if you have nothing useful to add, say nothing - it's the best way, then people don't get annoyed.

As I get older this just reminds me never to pass by the opportunity of having a p**s. You never know when the next opportunity might arrive!

I apologise for that, it was a bit cheap on my part. I wish I'd taken a shot of the guy doing his business which might have put the photos in a bit more context. I just thought it incredibly bizarre that someone would do that, he looked a reasonable kind of bloke. Anyway, it is what it is. If you see it pointless, then so be it.

After hearing your reasoning behind it I now fully understand where you are coming from, it's just in the first instance it was kind of a "WTF!" response. Which I suppose is what photography is about, creating a reaction, either a good one or a bad!

I suppose I was rather harsh and I apologise, I am not normally one to cause arguments. :)
