Hi I'm off for a week in Cornwal on the 15th. Am staying in Crantock near Newquay. Intend to take a day in St Ives and would like some suggestions where to take my camera. Lanscapes, Old buildings, waterfalls anything really.......

If you are making the journey that far west, then continue a little further and check out Bottalack - a landscape photographer's dream, especially at sunset.

Stippy Stappy and Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes are also worth a stop off - lots of tin mines traditional cottages as well as a wrecked harbor wall.

Thanks Spooky

The tin mines sound fun may well take a look

If you go to Mousehole have a drink in The Ship Inn, right by the harbour and watch the world go by for a few hours. They also do good food.

Mick.

the minack theartre is worth a look, it is carved out of the rock next to the sea, http://www.minack.com/

We went there about 15yrs ago fab place Rowena Cade and her gardener built the place, we watched play there it was a good experience i9 n the open air

also went to Mousehole and Newlyn where the famous Newlyn artists settled, great places for harbour/fishing village shots

When we went it was the 5th anniversary of her death and they put free plays on all that week think we went on the 2nd August, her birthday, beuatiful sunny day, blue skies, ice cream melted quickly, Cant remember the musical play its famous I can hear the tunes but cant think what it was called old age creeping up on me lol Minac theatre Clicky Linky

The Minack is my most favorite place ever; have had opportunity to both see and direct shows there, as well as get to do a dawn Photoshoot. If out that far then Porthgwarra and the Logan rock are well worth a visit.

Oh it is on there its Guys and Dolls

So it was 2nd august 1990 we went 7yrs after her death

I personally would avoid Lands End- very commercial there now

The back road from LANDS END to St Ives offers a wealth of photographic oppertunities, I know I lived in Penzance for some years

Les
