Got a card through the post this morning from my local MP - a campaign to save the Corby Urgent Care Centre which provides a 7 day service to the residents.

I happen to be extremely lucky to have a great NHS service and am registered at a surgery which has grown and improved over the years.

Now we have about 30 doctors there plus a diagnostic clinic for bloodwork etc plus the Urgent Care Centre which you can simply walk straight in and get seen 7 days a week with no appointment.

But now there is a question over its future and, as I said, many people have got these cards as part of the campaign.

The problem is that he wants us to post the cards back to him - easy enough but we are supposed to list our names, addresses, phone number and e-mail address on the card with no attempt to hide it!

And then return them through the mail so anyone who sees them can get all those details with no problem!

With that info the bad guys could easily trick their way into anyone's home especially the elderly.

It's a good cause but this seems like a really bad idea - the trouble is that as he says it would send the clinical commissioners the depth of feeling.

Do you think there is a better way - I was going to send it back in an envelope but it sill leaves a lot of my info in the clear.

We can also e-mail him our feedback but i don't think that would have the same impact.

What do you all think, and can you come up with better ideas?

How did he post it to you without putting your name & address in the first place ? If you don't want your number & email don't fill it in

Envelope - if you're worried about people reading your details through the envelope then wrap the card in a sheet of paper first.

Email replies would be better, but exclude most of the old people. Ditto passing them over by hand.
