thats not a living room, thats a play room! Looks awesome mate, how much did that cost to build? How long did it take? What is it like?

Including all the equiptment probably over £15-£20k at a quick add-up. It's nice. :)

Is your house built on a slope? :naughty:

Nice set up, I'll need to upgrade mine, still have the crt and an ancient Dolby 5.1 in use

I take it you're single ? ;);)

Awesome set up by the way

puts my Yamaha to shame :'(

How does he afford this equipment!!!!

Further evidence of the credit crunch hitting homeowners hard (!). :D

But I have to say, that's a well cool set-up!

no acoustic treatment. 15k and not a single bit of treatment. Shame on you.

well your step dad must have an awesome job! Really nice setup, however with current TV sets not lasting as long as they used to, what happens if the TV nackers up as they change dimensions all the time? Is it fitted to a bracket of some description?

Yeah, it's a false wall perfectly spaced so the panel fits flush.

Behind the canvas.

on the front wall? not enough and ineffective against first reflections and latitudal flutter echo. Behind the picture canvas? Ineffective at that size..;)

Both, but we've also ordered some purpose built sound absorbion panels but we can't go too extreme as it is only a living room after all. :(

Yeah, 'cos painting an entire wall black (including the door) and having practically no furniture in there what-so-ever is normal, isn't it?

Nice! we're doing something similar with our basement! Is that the 50 or 60" Pioneer?

Stunning setup. I need to build my TV and equipment into a wall or self made cabinet. Looks great.
That Kuro is superb. Thanks for sharing
